Did you know that our military does not provide basic personal care items to our men and women who serve our country overseas. 

Our government does not provide simple items such as deodorant, toothpaste, lip balm, Band-Aids, insect repellent, razors and many others.  These are items that we take for granted every day.  Our troops can't run down to the drug store and pick these things up.

After finding this out I felt compelled to do something to help our troops. I thought if I felt this way there had to be others who shared my desire to help.  After doing some research I came across a group called CHAMP (Citizens Helping American Military Personnel).  I took some of their ideas and combined them with some of mine and came up with HELP OUR TROOPS.

We are working with the Red Cross to help provide basic quality of life items.We need your help with donations which will defray the cost of shipping and to purchase items that are needed. We will also accept donations of the personal care items. To see the list of the items they need most click here.

Monthly packages will be sent to soldiers that we have direct addresses for to share with others in their group (division, platoon or battalion).  Packages can only be sent to a specific solder and address.  We need other names and address of soldiers that are serving overseas.  If you have a loved one serving overseas please send your name and address and their name and address. Since we are a small group we have to limit ourselves to helping those from the St. Louis, Missouri Metro Area.

Letters from persons 18 and under would also be appreciated with first name only and no addresses.  The letters brighten our soldiers day.  We are also sending local newspapers so they can keep up-to-date on local news.
